Job description


Your Main Mission:

  • Development, maintenance, and optimization of complex backend systems and web applications.
  • Leading and mentoring a small development team (Dev Team Lead).
  • Co-shaping the architecture (modularity, integrations, performance, scalability) and selecting the best technological solutions.
  • Implementing best practices and programming paradigms (code review, testing, clean code standards, documentation).
  • Designing and implementing APIs (REST/GraphQL) and integrations with external systems.
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders (PM, QA, frontend) on requirement breakdown, estimation, and execution.
  • Promoting the effective use of AI tools in development (accelerating analysis, testing, and documentation) and ensuring safe and responsible use.

What We Expect:

  • In-depth knowledge of PHP 8+ and OOP.
  • Practical knowledge of SOLID, design patterns, and experience with technical decisions in real projects.
  • Experience with web application development following MVC principles and architecture design.
  • Experience with API design (REST/GraphQL), versioning, and integrations.
  • Good knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB or relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
  • Work with ORM (concepts, pros/cons, performance pitfalls).
  • Advanced knowledge of Git (branching strategies, rebase, conflict resolution, MR/PR process).
  • Understanding of performance, scalability, and security (e.g., authentication/authorization, basic OWASP practices).
  • Proven experience with collaboration and mentoring: clear communication, accountability, team approach.
  • Use of AI tools for more effective programming – you know how to use them critically, verifiably, and with data protection in mind (no “blind copy/paste”).
  • Knowledge of practices for ensuring the efficiency and scalability of web applications.
  • Communication skills, responsibility, and the ability to work in a team.

Additional Advantage (but not a must-have):

  • Experience with e-commerce software solutions.
  • Experience with Drupal and Symfony frameworks.
  • Docker and basics of CI/CD and practice of "release" processes.
  • Experience with observability (logs/monitoring) and incident resolution in production.
  • Experience with implementing security mechanisms in web communication.
  • Experience with leading a development team.
